How it works

Four rules. No formulas.

  1. A week runs Monday to Sunday

Weeks are counted in UTC. A season has 13 weeks, sometimes 14; week 1 is the one that holds the season’s first day. The front page always shows the last 7 days, so it is never half-empty on a Monday.

  2. A new episode puts an anime in the week

If an anime aired an episode that week, it is in the ranking. On a break it sits the week out and comes back with its next episode.

  3. Ranked by AniList score

The score AniList members give the anime, from 0 to 100, as it stands when the week ends. A tie goes to the anime more members have on their lists.

  4. Two episodes in one week count once

The anime gets one row, marked “EP 5–6”. A batch release of a whole season is one row too, “EP 1–8”. Its place is still its AniList score.

Which anime

Included
  • Japanese TV series and web series (ONA)
  • Started this season, carried over from the last one, or premiering early
  • Has an AniList score — new titles get one after enough members rate them

Long-runners that started years ago, like Detective Conan, are left out so the list stays about the season. Anime without a score yet are listed under the ranking as “Not ranked yet”.

The data

Source

Schedules and scores come from the public AniList API, refreshed every 6 hours. A finished week is kept as it was when it ended; past weeks use AniList’s daily score history.
